POINTS GALA PRESENTATION - Time Change

To accommodate the potential of the Points Gala Presentation clashing with an England football match, this event will be held from 12.30pm until 2.30pm (rather than the original advertised time of 4pm-6pm). The Sports Club are showing the match on their big screen and it kicks-off at 3pm, so if you're a footie fan, you could stay and watch it there!

Monday Squad sessions cancelled on 21 & 28 June 2010

PLEASE NOTE
 
No Squad Training sessions next Monday (the 21st) and the following Monday (the 28th) due to CL home league galas.
 
However, the 6-7pm session is on as normal (although it will finish slightly earlier than normal to prevent congestion in the changing rooms).

Darwen Gala postponed

The CL Gala set for 12 June away against Darwen has been postponed due to health and safety reasons. Now we can all relax and watch the footie - COME ON ENGLAND!

Easter Closure

There are no training sessions on Monday, 5 April as the pool is closed for the Bank Holiday.

All other sessions throughout the Easter break will operate as normal.

Pool Open on 11 January

Please note that the pool will be open on Monday 11 January 2010 for normal training sessions. It was scheduled to close due to boiler maintenance, however, this was undertaken during the repairs that were made to it before Chirstmas.

Pool still closed!

Sorry guys!

The pool will not re-open until Thursday, 17 December, so no more Club sessions in 2009.

We resume normal timetable on Monday 4 January 2010. Until then ....

... have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Pool Closure

The boiler fault at the pool is unlikely to be fixed until the middle of next week. Unfortunatey, Monday evening sessions on the 14th are therefore cancelled. SORRY!

Club Championship Gala - Heat Results

The first 4 from each heat will compete in the finals on Monday 23rd November 2009.

2009 Championship Gala

Entries for the Club's Annual Gala are invited.

  • The HEATS will take place on Wednesday, 18 November starting at 6pm 
  • the FINALS on Monday, 23 November starting at 7pm.

Please note that entries must be submitted by Wednesday 11 November and the fee is £5 per entry form.

We hope that everyone will enter and lots of Club Records will be broken again.

2009-2010 POINTS GALA SEASON BEGINS

The first Points Gala for this season will be held on Monday, 2 November at 6pm. This is open to all our swimmers and we especially like to encourage the youngest of our members to join in.

SUMMER TIMETABLE

The last Monday evening sessions will be held 13 July, resuming Monday, 21 September.
 
However ...
 
We will still hold sessions every Wednesday evening (6pm-7pm, 7pm-8pm & 8pm-9pm) throughout the summer holidays.
 
Just come along on a Wednesday at the session time that suits you best - even if you usually attend on Monday 6pm-7pm! If you have any queries, please contact a committee member.

Brilliant Opportunity!!

Would you like to be an ASA Level 1 qualified swimming coach?

We'd like to give Tony and Dee more support poolside during training sessions and we intend to apply for funding to train volunteers appropriately.

This offer is open to anyone aged over 16 years who has an interest in the Club and we'd particularly welcome applications from Mums and Dads - this is your opportunity to get involved and make a real difference to our Club!

Bank Holiday Closure

The pool will be closed on Monday, 4 May for the Bank Holiday.
